Brake pad emark certification – ECE R90 certification Introduction.
EU legislation has been in effect since September 1999 when ECE R90 came into force. The standard stipulates that all brake pads marketed for vehicles must comply with the R90 standard.
European market: ECE-R90 certification and TS16949. Brake pad manufacturers selling in the European market must pass TS16949 certification and their products must pass ECE-R90 certification. Only then can the products be sold in the EU market.
Certification test standards.
1. Speed sensitivity test
Test conditions: Using the pedal force obtained from the cold efficiency equivalent test, with an initial brake temperature of less than 100°C, three separate brake tests are conducted at each of the following speeds.
Front axle: 65km/h, 100km/h and 135km/h (when Vmax is greater than 150km/h), Rear axle: 45km/h, 65km/h and 90km/h (when Vmax is greater than 150km/h)
2. Thermal performance test
Scope of application: M3, N2 and N3 vehicles can replace the brake lining assembly and drum brake lining test process
Thermal performance: Once the heating procedure is completed, the brake lining pressure should be used to determine the thermal performance at an initial brake temperature of ≤100°C and an initial speed of 60km/h. The average deceleration fully emitted by the heated brake must be no less than 60% or 4m/s of the corresponding value obtained by the cold state brake.
“China Compulsory Certification”, the English name is “China Compul-sory Certification”, the English abbreviation is “CCC”.
Compulsory product certification is abbreviated as “CCC” certification, there are called “3C” certification.
Compulsory product certification system is a product conformity assessment system implemented by governments in accordance with laws and regulations to protect the lives of consumers and animals and plants, protect the environment, and protect national security. Health, safety, health, environmental protection of products involved in the implementation of the new mandatory product certification system, China’s WTO accession commitments, in accordance with internationally accepted rules for the establishment of a certification and accreditation management system of major initiatives to strengthen quality management in the socialist market economy, regulate the market and protect the rights and interests of consumers to provide institutional guarantees, to promote the building of a moderately prosperous society in China has an important significance.
Mainly through the development of “compulsory product certification product catalog” and the implementation of compulsory product certification procedures, the inclusion of “directory” of products to implement mandatory testing and auditing.
Where included in the “directory” of products, without the certification certificate of the designated certification body, without the required certification mark, shall not be imported, exported for sale and used in business activities.
Included in the “first implementation of mandatory certification catalog” of products including wire and cable, circuit switches and protection or connection of electrical devices, low-voltage circuits, small power motors, power tools, welding machines, household and similar equipment, audio and video equipment, information technology equipment, lighting equipment, telecommunications terminal equipment, motor vehicles and safety accessories, motor vehicle tires, safety glass, agricultural products. Latex products, medical equipment products, fire products, safety and technical specifications products and other 19 categories of 132 kinds.
China has implemented a compulsory product certification agency system. Can be approved by the China Certification and Accreditation Administration of the legal agency for the certification of the relevant products agent.
